About the neighbours

Look at how things have improved. The Tays (including Mdm Cheong) who used to live directly behind us (118 Everitt Rd) moved out in 2006 and now live in a flat in Rose Lane. This household of cheapskates use to throw prawn heads and crab shells into my backyard.....so pathetic, as if having prawns or crabs for a meal is such a big deal they have to let us know! Since I never had an empty abalone can thrown into my backyard these poor people have never eaten abalone in all their lives or you can be sure of the can landing in my backyard.

The Chuas (two brothers and their families) who used to live next door to us at 136M Everitt Rd moved out aptly on April Fool's day in 2007. This pathetic group of car vandals are probably scratching cars in HDB estates in Hougang and Serangoon Central. So if you live there and have had your car scratched......there your possible suspects.

The Gans who live opposite us at 136-C Everitt Rd have not been seen on this stretch of road since they had to pay their lawyer in May 2009. Anyway, their unit is the most dilapidated unit on the street. It's a pathetic run-down single storey unit with leaks and a caving roof as well as doors rotted through with termite infestation. Incidentally the unit is for sale and it comes with a special free gift.......at least 3 million termites. We look out of our house daily in anticipation of seeing a gaping hole in the roof due to broken wooden roof beams courtesy of the termites!!!

Now along the stretch of road where we live and the row behind us......some more than 20 houses, the bitchy ones are just 136-B (the Lohs), 136-E (Gan's parents and sister) and 136-L (the 3rd Chua brother and his idiotic family). It's quite funny but now whenever the media needs bitchy comments about us they only have 3 houses to go to. The remaining 20 other houses with no problems with us would be hard pressed to come up with a bad comment.

Outcome of trials

Well, lost most of the trials except for one. But derived great satisfaction from making my bitchy-tongued neighbours put their money where their bitchiness is.

Imagine for the Gans (136-C Everitt Road) and Loh Beng Lee (136-B Everitt Road), for misdemeanour offences that only carry a maximum fine of $2000 and having to pay Lee and Lee, their lawyers, five figure amounts for first a 3-day trial, then a 5-day trial. All the while they wanted to settle with an apology but no monetary outlay to a charity as I demanded. I refused as we are all aware the location of a Singaporean's heart is in the pocket. It worked because I have not seen the Gans any where on Everitt Rd since the trial, not even for the reunion dinner at the father's house 2-doors away from 136-C.

As for the Chuas (136-L Everitt Road) there was a lot chest-thumping and preening but after one day of trial they ALL APOLOGISED rather than proceed with the trial!!!
